I made this outfit for my boy when he was 1. I used a short pattern that was for a boy size 4 and just put smaller elastic into the waste and shortened the length. I also did a onesie at the time and a boys t-shirt size 2T. When he outgrew the waste I put a longer elastic in it and pulled out the 2T t-shirt. He has been able to wear this for over 2 years now. If you take the time to do a custom outfit it is nice to be able to stretch the amount of time they wear it!.
